Financial Operations Analyst

Travel: 70-75% (willing to travel to various project sites)

Implementation Engineers is seeking an experienced consultant with strong problem-solving and financial modeling skills. The consultant will develop financial and operational models and conduct studies as an integral member of a team of operational excellence professionals on client engagements. The role requires strong verbal and written communication skills while interfacing with both diverse consulting teams and clientele. Ideal candidates will have consulting, corporate finance, or investment banking experience, with a passion for delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

This person is critical to ensure that our clients’ expectations are exceeded, and future business is secured. Implementation Engineers partners with large global companies to improve throughput and productivity, decrease costs, and align organizations. It is a leading global operations optimization firm that specializes in sustainable implementation of large, complex strategic initiatives.

The successful candidate will support our Implementation Engineering teams to:

  • Develop business cases and financial and operational models for engagements during the Program Design Phase (“PDP”). The Program Design Phase is an operational diagnostic and business plan development phase.
  • Perform various operational analyses to support workstream leads during studies on client engagements.
  • Develop financial tracking measures for Implementation phase engagements working closely with IE Project Leaders and clients.
  • Evaluate financial implications of specific business decisions/opportunities and advises management accordingly to ensure targeted financial performance achievement.
  • Continually seek to understand the client’s business and priorities and to design and/or deliver effective solutions to the client’s business challenges.
  • Capable of creating positive and productive relationships for the business.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in a STEM (Science, Tech, Math, Engineering), Business, Marketing, or Finance program
  • Corporate Finance at Fortune 500 Company, Consulting, or Investment Banking experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of financial concepts and analysis (NPV, IRR, ROI, variance analysis, make vs. buy, SKU rationalization)
  • Understanding of cost accounting and GAAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills
  • Exceptional computer skills that include MS, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent data analysis and advanced proficiency in Excel is required
  • Statistical skills and SQL proficiency is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% during weekdays
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
