Director of Talent Management and Acquisition (Management Consulting)

Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned and proactive Director of Talent Management and Acquisition to lead and actively participate in our talent acquisition efforts. This role is critical in driving strategies to attract top talent for our consulting firm, which specializes in manufacturing operational excellence, process improvement, and technical consulting across industries such as aerospace and defense, automotive, food and beverage, chemical, oil and gas, mining and consumer packaged goods (CPG). The ideal candidate will not only oversee and optimize recruitment systems and teams but also play an active role in recruiting, interviewing, and engaging passive candidates to build a robust talent pipeline. Additionally, this position requires close collaboration with the Vice President of Human Capital Management to align staffing needs and ensure talent is placed in the right roles with the right clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Recruitment Strategy
- Lead, mentor, and manage the technical recruiting team to meet and exceed hiring objectives.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract technical and consulting talent.
- Partner with leadership, sales teams, and hiring managers to align recruitment efforts with organizational goals and market needs.
- Represent recruitment in sales meetings and weekly staffing calls to align hiring priorities with business goals.
Collaboration with Human Capital Management
- Work closely with the Vice President of Human Capital Management to ensure staffing strategies align with organizational goals.
- Assist in identifying and placing talent in the right roles with the right clients, ensuring an optimal match between skills, experience, and client requirements.
- Support workforce planning and help optimize resource allocation across projects and clients.
Active Recruitment and Candidate Engagement
- Personally participate in recruiting, screening, and interviewing candidates to ensure alignment with role requirements and company culture.
- Engage in passive candidate recruiting through sourcing platforms, networking, and direct outreach to attract high-caliber professionals.
- Foster relationships with candidates to build a talent pipeline for current and future needs.
Systems and Process Management
- Oversee and optimize the administration of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), ensuring smooth workflows and compliance
- Manage job postings, requisitions, and closures on multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, etc.).
- Maintain and improve user management, permissions, and system configurations to enhance recruitment operations.
Candidate Lifecycle Management
- Ensure a seamless candidate experience by managing interview tracking, scheduling, and communication.
- Handle onboarding documentation, compliance, referral bonuses, and new hire quality checks.
- Coordinate with third-party recruiters to expand candidate pipelines and align processes.
Assessment and Surveys
- Create, maintain, and distribute assessment tools, including:
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) surveys.
- Recruiting surveys to gather feedback and improve processes.
- Performance reviews for team evaluation.
Metrics, Reporting, and Presentations
- Track, analyze, and report weekly, monthly, and annual recruitment metrics to leadership.
- Prepare recruiting updates and presentations for quarterly meetings, highlighting progress and key initiatives.
- Leverage data insights to refine recruitment strategies and enhance outcomes.
Responsibility Matrix and Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain a recruitment responsibility matrix to clarify team roles and accountability.
- Collaborate with leadership and internal stakeholders to align recruiting efforts with company objectives.
- Manage relationships and subscriptions for recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn Corporate, Indeed, Glassdoor, and others.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must have experience in Management Consulting in Manufacturing
- Proven experience in recruitment leadership, including hands-on recruiting and interviewing.
- Expertise in passive candidate sourcing and engagement through networking, platforms, and outreach strategies.
- Proficiency in ATS platforms and recruiting tools (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, etc).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with operational excellence principles in Lean Six Sigma, Industry 4.0, and Supply Chain optimization is a plus.
- Multi-industry experience is a plus
